I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to the resounding success of the 2025 ESCRS Winter Meeting in the beautiful city of Athens this past February.
With 1924 participants – a record attendance for a Winter Meeting – this meeting was truly a landmark event.
In the cradle of Western philosophy and rhetoric, it felt only natural to foster open dialogue, debate, and exchange of ideas. Our innovative “Toga Sessions” paid homage to this tradition, creating a vibrant space for interaction, spirited discussion, and mutual learning. The energy in those sessions was palpable and reminded us all of the timeless value of human connection in science and education.
Special thanks to our partners at the Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery (HSIORS) for their exceptional collaboration and warm hospitality. The meeting was not only an academic success but also a celebration of community – from inspiring symposia to dynamic networking moments and the ever-popular speed mentoring sessions.
To everyone who participated, presented, organised, and supported this meeting: THANK YOU! Together, we created something truly memorable.
